Drop-in Centre

Great News! We are delighted to confirm that the charity’s permanent home is now Whickham Villa Health Club.

Since April 2008 we have been using the building, (with hydro pool, Jacuzzi, floatation tank and therapy room,) every Saturday as our drop in centre. Everyone who dropped by loved having access to all the amenities.

We did however decide that Saturday wasn’t a good day for everyone
Arrangements are now finalised, and we will meet every Thursday (our original day when we were at Shandon Way) from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The Trustees are keen to have as many MND sufferers as we can join us and benefit from all Whickham Villa has to offer. If you are interested check out their website, then give us a ring on our helpline number.

Great North Run 2007

Early this year, Elaine Ross's dad Sid died from Motor Neurone Disease.

Both Sid and his wife Val were regulars at our drop in centre at Kenton, and Val still comes when she can.

In memory of her dad, Elaine decided to do the Great North Run to raise money for The Trust, which she did in a very creditable time of 2hrs and 6 minutes.

Elaine set up her own webpage at Just Giving, a wesite for charities.

A big, big *THANK YOU *from everyone at the Trust Elaine.

Alastair and Sue are married.

All members of the Trust are delighted that on June 2nd Alastair and Sue were married at The Mansion House, the Lord Mayor of Newcastle's official residence, in Jesmond, Newcastle.

The weather was amazing, and after the ceremony we were able to enjoy the extensive gardens before enjoying a lovely meal.

The happy couple are off to Dorset on honeymoon, and the rest of us are recovering from the celebrations.

Love and Best Wishes to the bride and groom.
